Hello

Hi guys i been lurking on the forum for a few days, on Saturday i had this great idea to get a bike after 15 years of no ride, the best i've done is at the gym on a spinner. Well anyways im lacking knowledge BIGTIME. My last ride was a Mountain Bike in something like 1997 a Challenge Everest I think, I grew up in the 80's massively around the BMX scene.

Well anyways now im older and wiser and wanted a bike to ride to work (occasionally) and to the gym. So i went into my local Evans with £200 on sunday hoping to pickup something decent and ended up leaving laughing to myself. How deluded was I. Well I did some research and ordered a Hybrid Cannondale Badboy 2010 yesterday in the sales. Spent today annoying everyone at work and home with my excitement and spent another £100 on accessories today.

I hope i've made the right decision and patiently waiting now

Awaiting delivery, I cant wait now to get back into the saddle!

Hi furkz
I've been riding bmx for the last 10 years or so, didn't get into it until late in life but injuries and age are catching up with me now so I'm heading to the road bike world. Can't give any modding advice but understand your excitement. I'm going bike shopping on Saturday. Can't wait.

all i can say is be patient, i bought the bike from the same shop where i could have bought the bike for £150 more 4 days earlier, i think bargains are starting to pop up in the sales.

i too old fat and hairy to have a BMX but damn i wish i could/would, i see half pipes and empty swimming pools sometimes and still get excited

Yeah I've been taking my time and looking around. Had a look at sone sale stuff but most things I've found ate either too big or too small.
Still love my bmx but can't ride to the level I used to. Now when I go out it's more for the craic and we usually end up going for a pint.
