We dont have butter in the house.

I've got high cholesterol controlled by Eziterol, my haematologist told me that he and his family have gone back to butter from spreads because it tastes better and in a thin skin is not an issue - but no butter laden flapjacks.

plus of course, butter is a natural product marge and spreads are chemical confections

I shall keep chipping in with comments on the sheer hideousness of mayonnaise until this thread dies. In the interests of providing a balance to the topic of course. That and the fact it's the devil's spunk!

I bet you love it really :tongue:

Admittedly its not as good as piccillii, but that a whole different pickle

I just don't like Hellman's any more. It's too sweet. I make my own using about a litre of oil, use about a teaspoon of it, and then chuck the rest away after it goes green at the back of the fridge a few weeks later.

Why not just make it and chuck it away while it's still fresh and also before you torture yourself with a teaspoon of it. White gloopy shite - the mayo that is, Mort, not you! :smile:
