I hate to be personal, but is this a case of premature melonation?
I bet the seeds from his helmet went everywhere.

I am well aware that the helmet debate is a brave issue to get involved with but I will provide my personal input.
A helmet may not save your life should you be hit by 2 tons of car travelling at 30mph, TBH the rest of your body will probably be a write off so why live with it.
However, as someone who used to race and train intensively I've had my fair share of falls, generally not involving any motor vehicles but occasionally street furniture and tarmac. When racing leather helmets offered little protection and I've been knocked unconciousat least ten times and hospitalised (5 days due to concussion) from my mid-teens to mid-twenties and trust me a helmet wouldv'e prevented the migraines that I now suffer.
While I can understand it's a choice and should IMO always remain so I would always recommend a helmet for this reason, a small slow fall and bump on the head can cause many problems at the time and later in life.
Also since wearing a helmet my head hasn't touched the floor once.![]()
(and DON'T mention cycling!)
Her choice, her name.....
She had been called "Daki" by her family and friends for as long as she remembered and did not respond to anything else.

Will those that want to mention concrete, cars, tarmac, big vents, etc, get their own thread.
This is about ski-ing, melons, and attempts to de-rail the conversation away from helmets completely.
and No, I don't have a dog, but if I did, I'd insist on it wearing a helmet when ski-ing. No skis or poles, just a helmet.
Hemets are fecking awesome.
