What on Earth is this supposed to mean?
You described cycling as a sport. It can be a sport, but most cycling isn't for sport, nor is it recreational. Just as most driving isn't sport and most walking isn't recreational.
Yes it is.
Outdoor recreation is someone going out on a bike for a pootle. They are doing it intrinsicly(have i got it the right way round for intrinsic and extrinsic) because they are doing it for their own enjoyment. They are out to enjoy the scenary, so it cant be classed as a sport, nor can it be classed as a form of transport, they arent going anywhere.
Outdoor recreation is also out having a nice walk.
Sport is lots of serious people going out and doing cycling at a good level, so it isnt just them going out for a nice pootle.
It as a mode of transport is them wanting to go somewhere.
Sport can be intrinsic(do it for themself) or extrinsic(do it for money) So many pros that are just riding for the money and not for the huge enjoyment are doing it extrinsicly.
It is all true.
