Bike or Helmet? I have aCatlike Whisper,No.2 in fact,No.1 did the business when needed. They are an acquired taste however. All I can say, having used a few, various makes, various weights etc,of them all Catlike is the only make I ve bought twice in succession.Very much a personal item I know so nothing will convince you until you try as many as you can-thats what your LBS is for!

Give it at try!Others will naturally have other suggestions but I like the lightness coupled with the overall coverage and the security of the fit and ease of adjustment. Each helmet comes with a supply of pads to customise the fit and you pretty much forget you are wearing it.I came off at a slow speed but hard on my head and where the helmet connected, there was a split in the temple/rear area, but no damage to me save a slight headache. So, a good outcome! What it did mean was a new helmet, none of this business of trusting to luck that"it"ll still be OK" and saving on a new helmet.Mine came from Prendas-you can talk to them re advice and indeed they do their own colourway-otherwise,up in Cumbria at least, you never see them on sale.Best of luck!
Believe me ive tried someone got a bargain, ill go and try the catlike thanks

Catlike fit a very specific shaped head, quite narrow/oval, they do look cool however. But there are barely any, if any, LBSs that carry them in store to try (I ordered one and sent it back as it was very uncomfortable)

Specialized tend to meet the most exacting safety standards (Snell)

Helmet buying is a nightmare, I went through lots before settling on the Uvex Boss Race - sits low, good for rounder heads. The Kask was quite comfy but I couldn't justify £130, especially as a replacement for a 3 month old helmet that got damaged in an accident
