Cool.
You generally don’t have to wear helmets for time trials in this country, if it is a "time trial". Are you thinking of wearing your cap...backwards!? Take helmet just in case and ask at HQ?

Update: I didn't wear a helmet which was fine there were a mixture of people some with and some without. The winner posted a 21:53 and I beat my target of 27 mins with a 26:54 putting me mid table which I was quite pleased with for a first proper hill climb and not being the smallest of riders.
