Cycling home on friday a young lady in a battered Audi (always with the german cars!) kept trying to force her way past me (2 ft between me and car in front on a very narrow road). Finally getting to the lights she spins wide and tries undertaking me.

Being bolshy i just sped up and kept at the lead before pulling close to the kerb to let her pass.

she swerved tight whilst honking, then the lads in the car behind her decided to join in with honing, swerving and throwing of stuff.

Took 3 2litre bottles to the head (full to half-full) going at 15mph and each one bounced off.

Know it's not their primary purpose but damn am i glad i was helmeted.

Anyhow, the lads in the golf decided to keep stopping so they could swerve at me twice more as i went past, then finally the girl in the Audi pulls up next to me at lights and threatens to a; shoot me (gotta love wanna be gangstas) and b; "if you get in front of me again ill ****ing kill you"

So, I let her go ahead, drove str8 to the police station behind her, then strangley she dint wanna argue anymore and went home.

4 days later and STILL no reply from the police with so much as a crime reference number. seems they cant work out if its a traffic report or a crime.....

Shocking, sounds like some sort of assault with a weapon type offence to me.

I waited for 6 days after i reported a car driven at me, every day the Police called and said they were too busy, in the end i told them not to bother.

She passed the cop shop on her way, decided not to go in. So back to the old "my word against hers" argument"

Glad im not the only one feels talking to the police is only slightly better than banging my head against a wall

I agree about the helmets. I always wear one for this reason when going on a particular route as the risk of assault is so high.

When you include details of a car it confused the police, they are programmed not to care unless it's a speeding offence. This is assault, leave the bike out of it.

Too true!!!!

My brother had a car stolen by someone entering his house and taking the keys. Plod came out, loggd it as a burglary and didn't actually do anything much about the stolen car. Only when CID came out about 2 days later did the CID realise that fact, and try and correct things.

Not that i suggest or condone the following...but interesting to see.

On my way throught the grind of rush hour in my car...silver merc pulled out of a junction and sits in front of me...big "fat neck" bloke at the wheel...courier comes out of same junction, rides up along side, unclips his right foot and proceeds to smack 3 or 4 massive dents in the panels all along one side (with the heel of his foot)...then, spun off into the mass of traffic (all at a stand still..)

fat bloke was going crackers...mostly as there was nothing he could do...the car was literally rocking from side to side!!

I can only guess the merc had offed the courier earlier

Didnt know where to look as I crawled past him a few minutes later when the dust had settled.

Surely they should have dusted for prints? ;-)
