Helmets should be compulsory

When riding past golf courses.

Today's ride went past 2 golf courses. Passing the first a stray ball hit the road a few feet in front of me. Passing the second a ball bounced of my helmet.

Must have caused concussion because I forgot to reset my garmin after the longest ride of the year when I got home.

Why didnt you get off and shout at the fools?A lot of these people are simple and many are also partially sighted,hence their seclusion in large,private areas and their wearing of startlingly coloured clothing.Come to think of it,you could have feigned an injury,you might have got a new bike out of it,or if you were really unlucky,membership of the club!In all seriousness though,it could have had all sorts of consequences,I think I might at least let the club know,I would have thought they might frown on such an occurrence,however unintentional.

I got whacked on the elbow passing heworth golf course a year ago, proper knacked ! This just brought back a memorie, should have done the yankee thing and hoy'd a claim in haha

Sue the golf club for failure to provide adequate provision to stop the missiles and then get a new helmet and bike out of them

Golf's a.great.game if you go to a good course - I particularly like the one where you have to get your shot time right to miss the revolving windmill. The Clown's mouth obstacle is also a good 'un.

Very aero those golf balls. It's the dimples apparently. You should've pocketed it and sellotaped it to the front of your bike.

There's a golf driving range or whatever they call them, hidden behind a high privet on one of my much used routes.When i pass by it and my mind is elsewhere the ping sound of the club hitting the ball makes me think an air rifle pellet is flying past!

Or if you had not been wearing the helmet then the ball may have missed you so it was actually the helmet that caused the 2nd incident
