Help! I need to work out when I'm going to croak.

I've finally started looking at my finances, a subject I that put off at every opportunity. It seems I've got to get some kind of idea about when I'm going to die in order to cheat the likes of @srw and the annuity club out of their fat fees.

Are there any online tools for this?

I'm not going to lie to them but it's a really odd situation. When buying travel insurance, the premium gets hiked up if you reveal any pre-existing medical conditions. With an annuity, every ailment sticks more money in your pocket. I'm not sure if I should be laughing or weeping.

Unless you have a life shortening medical condition, why not just plan for your finances to run out when you reach your early to mid nineties? Then if you do live that long, your needs will be fewer and the state pension should suffice. I personally wouldn’t use an internet “death clock” for financial planning.
