I feel you're taking the wrong approach

I went through this process 3-4 years ago. It was based on household expenses, lifestyle, income and savings. I expect to live as long as possible as comfortably as possible.

Your approach will do little more than provide a few £££ extra. Don't trust an internet life expectancy calculator.

I've finally started looking at my finances, a subject I that put off at every opportunity. It seems I've got to get some kind of idea about when I'm going to die in order to cheat the likes of @srw and the annuity club out of their fat fees.

Aviva predict that I'll flatline in 21 years. 2040 certainly beats 1987.
