help me buy a helmet

I need your advice on buying a helmet for commuting and pleasure on my hybrid my price range is up to £100 your thoughts will be appreciated

Everyone on here will give you a different answer.
They all fit different as we all have different shaped heads, so the best thing you can do is go to your LBS and try some on first.

Nah, best looking one and well vented. Oh and it must match my bike. (Just so happen to have blue and red helmets) !

I just bought a L Garneau helmet for £80 as it was the best fit. Whether it will protect me more than a £10 or less than a £150 helmet I dont know but I refuse to ride my bike without a helmet.

Specialized meet the higher snell safety standard. Go lbs and try on

Obviously the cheaper you go the heavier the helmet is and less vents/chance to personalize the fit etc. Best thing it to try them on but keep in mind it's a potential lifesaver... in my view shelling out a bit more with that in mind is better than saving a few quid.

I've always worn Bell helmets. They've been ok for me so i stick with 'em! Probably more to do with superstition than practicality.

Take a look at the MET Inferno UL its one of the few helmets Ive found that has a neat cut out shape at the forehead so it doesn't look to much of a blob on your head, its extremely light and pretty robust, easy adjusting straps too.

I picked up a Lazer O2 from Wiggle for £40, nice and light and very comfortable.
