Hi all,

I'm moving to Copenhagen on Sunday and am in the process of packing my bike away to get it shipped over.
Problem is, in order to get it to fit into my box, I need to remove the rear wheel and Saddle. I think Specialized have some sort of attachment to unscrew these parts (to prevent theft I guess) but I've either lost it, or never received it. Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

Thanks.

You dont have a quick release lever on the rear wheel no? If not all you need is an allen key to do the job.

No quick release and an Allen key won't work.
It's like a nut with a casing around part of it so a normal spanner won't work:

Sorry for the poor quality pics and thanks for your help.

Never had to adjust the seat, I bought it off a friend before he moved back to the US (and he's only a couple of inches shorter than me).
He says that he might have the attachment but, even if he does have it, I won't get it in the next few days.
Any suggestions pls?

My friend might have. He's having a look for me now.
Only problem is he's in the US. so even if he does have this key, he won't be able to get it to me in time!!!

He's got it!!
Apparently it came with a card too but he doesn't have that.

I've been Googling and I think they're by a company call Pitlock.

It's shame but I might have to get these cut off as there's no way I'll get the attachment before Sat.

Well be sure to give him a good kicking the next time you see him. If you'd got a puncture you'd have been stuffed

Can your US friend tell you where he got the antitheft nuts from? If so maybe you could buy a new set if the keys are all the same.

You took the words right out of my mouth!!!

Apparantly there are 256 different key/lock combinations so I doubt I'll be able to get the same key.

Another friend of mine has an angle grinder so should be able to get to the middle of the bolt securing the Saddle. Don't really know what to do about the rear one. Any suggestions?

These things are bloody annoying... which makes them great as an anti theft device. I might invest in a new set to replace the ones on the bike.

Thats the one reason why I didnt buy them and the price !!.

Best of luck getting them off in time looks like you might have to take some extreme action...locksmith sounds a good bet

Did you find an alternative? I saw that the set (front, back and saddle) costs about £55!!!

How much would normal front, back and saddle skewers cost?
