Well, seeing as you get 200-300mb/s theoretically the maximum at 200mb/s would be about 8.5GB per 30 days.
That's not correct - by a long way. I've used up 50 GB since 8th May just watching the Giro d'Italia on my Galaxy Tab, and my connection is typically 12-16 Mb/s!

Hang on, you meant 200-300 kb/s ... Nope, I make that about 80 GB a month if used flat out, 24/7.

If used for 4 hours a day flat out, that would be about the 13 GB mentioned by Gary E.

Jesus guys, you had me worried then

4 hours a day sounds like more than enough, time will tell.

On the plus side, if 15GB isn't enough I could buy another one for an extra 15 and still be paying less than I did with BT

I was only getting through about 10-13 GB/month until I started using Eurosport Player to watch a few hours of HD video a day!

Video and to a lesser extent, audio, are the real bandwidth hogs.

Oops, typo there
I think i may have forgotten a multiplication in there too
200kbs equates to 2.012GB per day (24hrs) so 60GB per 30 days and thats constant usage at that rate

We use 3 MiFi as backup for our broadband. If you have decent 3 coverage then its great. Plus, of course, you can locate the device by a window to get the best signal in. Its also jolly useful with a tablet when travelling.

BTW Check out Quidco. Three give a substantial discount on new PAYG broadband SIMs. We simply buy'em - use up the allowance and buy another. Don't try and use a non-broadband SIM in a MiFi device. It will work for a day or two but then the SIM may be blocked when detected.

I got my MiFI device dirt cheap on fleabay.

You can get cheap 3 data SIMS on eBay - 3GB, valid for three months from the date you start using it, for about £14. I use 'em in my 3 MiFi unit.

Yes I used to do that. The last lot I paid around £20 to Three and getting £12 back. 3Gb for £8. Beats fleabay
