Help please,chain riding on top of cog

When changing gear going from 6th to 5th the chain briefly rides along the top of the cog as opposed to engaging the cog which causes pedal slip which has nearly had me off a couple of times.Its only this gear that it happens with,i've examined the cog and all is well,the chain is an Sram and does'nt look too old or worn,have tried adjusting the mech but still getting it.Its not a cheapy bike,its a Corratec hybrid with full 105 gearset.
Any ideas?

Most likely your gear cable is snagging, at first go just clean and lube it.

That sorted it,took the inner cable out,cleaned and lubricated it,run some 3in1 down the outer and all sorted,cheers for that mate
