Yes I've looked at specialist movie buff forums, but don't really want to be spreading myself any wider across the interweb.
Film from the 2000's (possibly early 20teens), Argentinian (possibly Chilean at a push). Young, shiny professional urban couple go on drive with daughter. Dad driving takes eyes off road to turn to fractious child in the back seat. Crash and burn. Child dies. We next see Dad, extensively burn-scarred, working in a remote, provincial tiny airport in chilly Patagonia. Film follows his life among other damaged misfits and local indigenes staffing the airport.
