Please don't turn this into a P&L battle, I asked for feedback and you have had your say (Thank you ) carrying on now may deter some people from commenting and providing potentially helpfull feedback.

OK, I'll leave it for now. Unless the mods see fit to move it...

I will make you a deal, leave your mod strings 'un pulled' until after tomorrow midday then pull away and you can carry on in P&L or wherever you want it moved?

Strings? I have no strings to pull, Wigsie - I'd just rather the thread was located somewhere where we could discuss the wisdom or otherwise of the campaign. But it's in the Cafe, so I'll leave it, as I said.

Good on you mate. Don't have any kids but a few in the office do and I'll get them to take them home tonight for you.

Can't promise they'll get back to me but I'll pass it on

As for where this thread is situated I think it should stay here. There are far more people view the cafe with creative ideas than people looking in campaigning.

If you put it in P+L I probably wouldn't have seen it and certainly wouldn't have responded (too scared of getting eaten alive). You could always have a separate thread in P+L discussing whether such a campaign was giving the right message.

Me personally like the one that looks like a photo on a phone. Surely the way to target this group is through something like You Tube or Facebook.

Thanks SD, we are doing a pretty full on campaign trying to include all the media that the 'youf' of today absorb .

Any other opinions? the claud has said (twice) she will leave this alone now so you can post an opinion without being berated! ;)

Even if you don't have kids in the target age group an opinion or any observations would be appreciated...

I think the dummy concept is excellent. I'm not so sure about the 'lost in a moment' strapline: it's clever, and would be good for an adult campaign, but it's not the sort of language a kid would use, and I think the language needs to match the audience.

I also agree 100% with Sweetpea that the outcome needs to be injury rather than death: no kid can conceive of their own death, but they can envisage getting hurt.

I think pedestrians fare best when behaving sensibly in their dealings with vehicles. That may at times include behaving assertively, but certainly doesn't include wandering into a road obliviously, which is what this campaign is addressing.

The beast, Wigsie, was not asleep. Just in docile mood. But if Ben would like to take the discussion further, he is very welcome to raise it in Campaigning, or even in P&L (where we are used to demolishing all the nonsense he talks).
