Hi gardening types
Remodelled the garden in big way over the winter. Had quite a large flower bed in which we were going to sow wild flower mixtures, but no need, as the soil there had been part of a wildflower bed the year before and we'd obviously transferred lots of the seeds.
Trouble is, I'm not sure what some of the stuff is, and it needs thinning out. To help me decide which ones to pull up, I was wondering if anyone can tell what they are going to be from the leaves!
Any help gratefully received.

1) Suspect this one is unwanted - huge leaves, flowers look like they are going to be quite small.

3) Fairly sure this is a poppy of some kind.

4) On the left, the leaves here look like some Achillea I sowed separately. (I know the things on the right are california poppies).

5) ?? Feathery leaves, but not the same as the achillea

7) Yet another feathery-leaved one. Not california poppy (see 8)

8) California poppy, so I know this is not the same as 7.

1 does look brassica related
2 is name escapes me ... white flower - weed ... purplish at the bottom of the stem ... if you want some I can give you loads ... pull it up before it flowers!
3 poppy
4 ? not weed
5 borderline weed Possibly depending on your definition (Mr Summerdays hates them)
6 reminds me of a snap dragon but a more dainty cousin perhaps
7 ? again reminds me ... possibly nigella?
8 ?
9?
10 leaves remind me of one of my poppys but head looks wrong

Thanks all - especially the 'pull it up before it flowers' warnings!

I think achillea is a kind of yarrow, so that figures.
5) looks like it is going to have flowers, so it can stay for now.

This is like going back in time.... college plant ident time!

2-some yellow flowered weed (not sure of the name, but I pulled some this morning)
6- Some kind of cultivated toadflax. Linaria sp.
7-Nigella
8-Californian poppy
9- I see where TMN is coming from... could be right

My worst ever plant ident was 'the fruit & veg section in Safeways, Nantwich'
We all got 9/10.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
2 looks like something we've got a lot of with small white flowers. But I don't have a name.

Since it's supposed to be a wild flower meadow I'd wait until they've flowered before you decide what to do. As long as you eradicate anything you don't like before it sets seed it will be gone.
