just a short post to let people know how helpful cyclist can be.
me and my friend went on a 10 mile ride today and my friend got a puncture 6 miles from home.
we had a puncture outfit but forgot the pump.
we started to walk and cyclist stopped and borrowed us a pump.
we didn't even know this person and he said give me the pump back when i see you again,as we had seen him on the same ride twice before.
this ride was between woodly tunnel and Hyde bank on the canal tow path the rider was riding a black specialized bike.
i would really like to thank him for is help so hope he uses this site.

Well done that man.

Some cyclist's on the canal path's round my way wouldn't give you "a nod in the desert" let alone use of their pump. :becool:

Cyclists are a nice bunch! When I used to cycle in London I would always be approached by another cyclist if I was looking quizzically at why my bike wouldn't work properly. I've had my puncture repaired, my chain put back on properly and offered lubrication to stop the squeaks!!

Glad to say I've gotten a bit better at looking after my bike but its nice to know people stop and offer to help
