Hey!

It's just getting ridiculous now isn't it. I just don't even see the point going out when it's gale force winds and snow...

Sun is out on South Coast and the horrible easterly wind has left. Fist proper ride on my bike :-) Don't laugh but I did 8.5 miles (first proper bike ride since 1983) out of Chichester and know my backside is going to ache in the morning!

That's good! It's hard isn't it to get into strength wise. I find I just want to do more miles now, the longer rides are such fun  Why since 1983? That's a long break?

1983 was the last time I owned a bicycle :-) Been doing the same circuit now every day and is getting much easier and faster. I have also discovered a spare hole in my belt!

Amazing! It's such a good feeling knowing you're getting fitter isn't it. Well, unfortunately for me I'm currently trying to fix a bad knee

Sorry to hear about your knee - hope it mends itself soon. Enjoying cycling so much I am now looking at getting a proper road bike (when did racing bikes become road bikes in the intervening years?). This is addictive stuff but that maybe something to do with the fact I have given up alcohol for a month ^_^

Thank you! It's not any better unfortunately but going to my physio so hopefully they can shed some light on it.

Yeah go for it, it's such a cool hobby. Good for you for stopping drinking for a month, I've not been that good but did achieve 40 miles the other day which is my longest ride. It hurt afterwards!!
