Thanks all, yes I am really proud of them and I was looking forward to it - wasn't expecting it to be this soon, but as I'm cracking on a bit, I'm happy it's not later so I can enjoy it.

My son and his partner had a lovely baby girl weighing in at 7-12.

My son didn't do well at school and went a bit off kilter with some "mates" he got in with, but now he has a great job and reputation in IT and at 20 years old gas made me a very proud dad and now, Grandad at 51.

I have three children with my new wife, all under 10, so can handle the juggling of an extra one no problems.

Great when your kids turn out good

A few weeks ago I was holding my granddaughter, 6 months old, when she started to cry, I handed her back to my son and he just passed her back to me and said "you dry the tears"
