No comeback to post #93 then, @User ? It's not like you, apart from when you know that some commoner from the café has caught you out.
At least have the good grace to put your hands up and admit it, just for once.

I hope he gets nicked for not moving over to nearside..
then a reckless driving ban and fine.
i then hope he gets a massive fine for wasting 999 staff time..
trucker only caused a minor mark on his car ...and as nobber stayed in a position that stopped the trucker i hope the trucker gets a no action.

You don't think the HGV driver should get any action against them for deliberately crashing into another road user?
If you think that's acceptable, you need to stop driving immediately.

Meanwhile, readers in Scotland are asking " what is this 'middle lane' thing ? "
You've never experienced the joys of the M8 or the M74 in the Glasgow area then? One of the worst areas I have ever driven in for clueless drivers with absolutely no lane discipline.

You mean that short stretch of M8 in Glasgow where your lane suddenly becomes an exit ramp every half mile ? Ludicrous design.

You know the lorry driver?

That my first grin of the day!

I, of course, meant the car driver. Yes, I have met him. Suffice to say I wouldn't get in a car with a driver who persists in hogging lane 2 on an otherwise empty motor way and gravely endanger himself merely to prove a point to another driver who's behaviour he has taken exception to.

If someone was up my arse with a 40 tonne weapon and it looked like trouble was brewing I'd be out of his way so fast it'd take your breath away, and sod whether I'm in the right or not. You have to be alive to worry about such niceties.

In essence he was offered a fight, he accepted, he lost, and having willingly engaged in combat then went on to bleat about the unjustness of it all.

Yes, the Charing Cross exit westbound and High Street exit eastbound; and the on ramp from Great Western Road joining in the right hand lane!! The M8 is 3 lanes all the way from Glasgow Airport to Baillieston though. Horrible motorway; I detest driving to Edinburgh.

The lorry driver was wrong, no doubt about that.

The car driver is also in the wrong and is milking this for all he can get. Once the truck went by he had recorded all the details he needed. All he had to do was back off but it sounds like he kept putting himself in positions he would have been better out of. He was so frightened, he even followed the truck into its depot. If you thought the truck driver was a nutter. Why would you do that?

The truck driver should be banned. But I also know how annoying it can be to be behind a Lane hugger. But at 50 mph in the middle Lane, you are looking for trouble.
