That’s odd, mine is pretty seamless and intuitive. If the TV is switched On the soundbar / subwoofer/ surrounds automatically feed from the TV (in fact they can even be controlled by the TV remote) and if the TV is switched Off they can be used to stream music just like any of the other speakers. Even if the TV is switched On they can be used to stream music, but the controller just asks for confirmation first. Switching them back to the TV is also simple using the controller Browse menu. From a sound quality perspective the soundbar / subwoofer combination is completely mind blowing and can shake the whole house. So for me Sonos was a very worthwhile investment.I'm glad I didn't invest too much money into the Sonos ecosystem, as it seems unreliable. I have a Playbar, but never really went any further because I wasn't overly enamoured with the sound of the other speakers. It works fine as a soundbar for the TV, but always falls over when I try and play music on it. I then have to spend an hour farting about doing updates and reconfiguring to get it working again.
PS. Another thing I like is that you can’t turn SONOS upside down, if you try it’s still SONOS
