Hi Kim, welcome to CC! It is fantastic to see another girl posting.

I live between Preston and Blackburn but often cycle up that way to Garstang and beyond. Know that area quite well as use to live out the other side of Longridge towards Inglewhite. If you fancy a ride out please drop me a pm. I have a road bike which I love getting out and about on.

Welcome - definitely a nice area, and one that brings back memories

I had a wonderful couple of days near there.

I was riding from Carlisle down to Chester on the Street Machine and got caught in heavy snow. After a dodgy descent, I ended up staying at Guy's Thatched Hamlet

Following day was an excellent trip into Preston. There is something special about being able to be the first vehicle on a snow covered road, and looking back to nothing but your own tracks
