Hi Sean and welcome!
That looks like a big undertaking, wish you luck with it.
I think if you post your intended route in the touring forum you will get lots of tips.

hi phil aiming to do 100 miles a day, obviously i nead to do a lot of training.
Our company is big in going green and will pay half of the money towards a bike if people decide to get one to cycle to work so trying to use this as an angle for them to pay for a bike for me.theyll also double whatever i get in sponsorship money for the charity.

the actual route itself isn't all that long or difficult a trip, but the organizing of individual riders and fundraising I suspect will be the bigger undertaking. 100 miles a day is a big ask unless you are fully supported or staying in hotels with food ready and waiting each evening. I wouldn't underestimate the time it takes each day off of the bike, on an unsupported trip, to shop, cook, eat, wash etc....oh yeah and you'll need time to sleep as well ^_^
Best of luck...looks like lots of fun:bravo:

still waiting for my company to get back to me about how much help im going to recieve from them
hopfully a LOT.
im trying to push the fact that they are trying to be green and i will be promoting cycling to work. So as such will be thier mascot of greeness so they will pay for the lot including the bike and gear.
i dont think 100 miles is a lot if you have a decent bike that will wiss along with out to much efort hense not a bike from argos ^_^

Assuming you can get fit enough I think you are right about the 100 miles although the hilly bits can be tough. I would allow extra time for the hills and make it up on the flatter stretches. Training is crucial as even if you are fit, you need to be used to sitting on a bike saddle for a long time.

On some stages you might even get some supporting riders from here if you want..

Whilst I think your route is ok, I feel as a group you might have trouble achieving 100 miles a day, so many factors kick in with a group, punctures, mechanical failures, individual comfort stop, and the bigger the group the more the delays are. As you are part of a country wide organisation, and planning to visit the depot along you route, maybe you should get the depots to allow you to overnight at the depots.

Agree; 100 miles a day on your own is achievable for a reasonably fit cyclist on a solo ride. But if you've got to get to loads of depots where you need to spend a bit of time there saying hello, need to spend time riding through towns to reach them and then will have slower riders with you for part of the day, it will make it a lot harder.

That'll be fun on the A1M and M62. You need to plan your route a bit better. You also need to source a bike you are going to be comfortable on and to do a few trips to get used to it. If you haven't ridden before you will be using muscles you haven't used before.

Welcome

Provided you're supported and train properly, I don't see a problem with your part of the ride. I think figuring out how to get the other people to do parts of the journey and how to get them to and from their start/finish points etc, but then you work for a logistics company so should be able to figure it out ;)
