hi everybody im wayne from south shields new to all the forum stuff have been back on my mountain bike now for 8 months after getting rid of the car in these tough times i do enjoy going out riding road and off road but it gets a bit boring riding by yurself at times so looking for some new friends with same interests to ride with.

Don't know of many groups round here for MTB. But you could try CTC, and theres a group in Sunderland who have a Facebook page under health cycling.
If you change to road theres plenty of fairly local clubs.

Hi Wayne, I live in Washington and do road and a bit mtb riding. I also go out with Wearside Families Cycling Group. If you are still looking for company on rides I'm sure you'll find a compadre or two there. Based in Sunderland they meet most Sundays at Silksworth Ski Slope about 9.30 am. Hopefully we'll see you there soon.
