Scotland : Perthshire Highland Perthshire Challenge 2015 - 29th August

I noticed a few people talking about doing the HPC - http://cairnomountchallenge.org.uk/highland-perthshire-challenge/ - this Saturday and thought it would be good to collate everyone in one place, to find out who is doing the 50 and who is doing the 100 and see if we can get a bit of a peloton on the go!

A contingent of CC Ecosse braved the 100 last year and the write-up of our various misadventures can be found here

I'll be doing the 50. Just started cycling this year and Saturday will be my first major clipless cycle so look out for someone furiously practicing unclipping on the start line and that will be me

I'm signed up for the 100, feeling poor form wise, getting sore legs this week which isn't like me. I guess I'll decide on the day, I plan to be at the start for 8.

I'm staying in Dunkeld so probably looking at 8:30 - 9:00 to start

Dry warm legs perform better than cold wet legs. Cold muscles are much more susceptible to injury.
Got nowt to do with being hard or otherwise!

Legs oot. Taps oan. Going to do the base layer and jersey thing and carry my waterproof jacket just in case. It's possible that I'll be on the COG train if I can be sneaky enough, but even so I'd likely get dropped on the climb out of Dunkeld.

Looks like rain and headwind for the latter section mid-afternoon.
