Lsat night in kennington there was some BMX battered and a car windscreen smashed in where someone got hit.

just got into work now and my road, goswell is closed off. could not walk past, but apparetnly another cyclist is or was under a cement mix lorry!

Hardly surprising the way some people cylce, some seem to have a death wish so its just a matter of time. Then there are carefull cyclists who have car doors opened on them and litrally get pushed by a pedestrian crossing the road, off my bike. Luckily managed to stay on it, god knows how. oh and apparently a ped' was squahed, brains and all, in Oxford street yesterday.

Well that's really funny. Two cyclist crushed to death by HGVs in London in two days and you come out with a comment like that.

+1 some things you joke about, somethings you dont!

Having been witness to a tragic accident of this type, I can also say that it is an awful thing to make light of. In fact, I still have nightmares about it to this day......

I've seen someone lying on the floor with their bike stuck under the car. It's not pretty. This was at night and I don't think the cyclist had lights on or anything.

Not sure if the person died, but it's a 60mph road so could of been quite likely.

apparently the person down the road from work was a woman and is looked like she was undertaking the cement mixer on a corer. Don't people think and read the road ahead?

Touch wood the worse I've saw was a courier's bike under the wheels of a car he was lying at the side and had plenty of people around so I decided not to interfere (I really couln't help the situation ). There was a break in the kerb there for bikes avoiding traffic lights but it comes out on the wrong side of the road I guess he had taken it and come out onto the road without giving way but I heard no more.

I'm not sure it's the time to be quite so critical Jake.

We all do daft things from time to time. If we're lucky, we live to regret them.

Doesn't bear thinking about! My family have just suffered a recent tragedy and I would not wish the pain on my worst enemy. My thoughts and deepest sympathy goes out to their friends and family.

RIP.

yuck pretty horrible. The one down the road from here wasnt the Elephant and castle one though. similar situation though. Hopefully it does make people wake up a bit . Yes we all do silly things and thank our lucky stars that we survived, but you see people putting themselvse in needless silly situations day in, and day out. Not through lack of judgement or mistake either.
