I seen this video and the first thing i thought was WTF are both of them doing. The video poster things his cycling was fine however i dont hold the same opinion but we agree in regard to the taxi. My comments are visible in the video, as soon as they are accepted by the up-loader i will edit this to have them included.

Yup, absolutely no need to undertake the van. Pure impatience by the cyclist.
His postitioning meant he couldn't see the right turning car forcing the van to move to the left.

If said cyclist watched the bus, you would see it move off line, due to the right turning vehicle. Cyclist should have noticed this and not gone up the inside of the following taxi.. Green paint is pointless.

See this loads, cycle lanes are pointless as folk just swerve into them to avoid right turning traffic.

Cyclist was being stupid.

Cyclists fault, didn't read the road, it clearly narrows there so is not safe.
all cyclists would do better off ignoring cycle lanes as they're put there as an afterthought

Ah but not totally the cyclists fault, the taxi driver should have checked his mirror. However i would place most of the blaim on the cyclist for his stupid riding

The taxi driver is entirely at fault for impinging on the clearly marked cycle lane.
However, not much use being right if you are dead right. Everyone makes mistakes and errors of judgement, and the winner is the person who compensates for them best.

the cycle lane had ended when the taxi moved over, the asl box is not a cycle lane or part of it.

That and the cycle lane has broken white lines. Vehicles are allowed to enter the cycle lane if unavoidable,
The car trying turning right in front of him caused him to move left.

He didn't use his mirrors and the cyclist didn't use any common sense

I'd say cyclists fault 100%, he can see there's a pinch point ahead and seeing as he's not ahead of the taxi and cannot take primary should not have attempted to stay with the taxi or undertake. He should have backed off.
completely avoidable this one.
