A bit of a Public Service Announcement.

There's emails doing the rounds, claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs about a tax refund. The emails contain a link to a fake HMRC web-site.

HMRC will never send emails like this so if you get one, then bin it.
I've been getting these for years. As common as banking for me.

Fark off, I'm getting 500 sobs back!

Sovs, shirely. Unless you're unhappy. (Or perhaps sov's, with the apostrophe standing in for the letters missing from sovereigns.)
Is it really. I've always misheard it then. It makes sense as an abbreviation now. It never did before. You learn something every day.
