Cycling in this morning, at about 2.5 miles to go I passed a young lad from work, him on his MTB and me on my roadie. I wasn't going that much faster so he pushed it to drop in behind me and be towed for about a three quarter mile into a medium headwind then then a half mile up an incline (still into the wind!??) and at the top - over a bridge - from the it was a downhill and flat to work.
I looked over my shoulder and waved him saying "your turn" and 10 seconds later he shot past me and put about 50 feet between us after I'd done all the work for nearly a mile and a half, at which point I thought...can't be bothered.
Next time I'll drop the MF
