Considering it. I want to play with low trail (reading too much of Jan Heine at Bicycle Quarterly), but if I can find a real HW fork from a wrecked frame...

I don't think a carbon fork would "look right" - that is/was a lovely looking bike that you have there.
eBay for donor bike/frame?

Ebay has loads of frames and no forks. Not really surprising. Forks are the most likely to get damaged beyond repair
