Getting old but not past it

Just booked mine for next year. Greece it is, a place called Zante. Will it still be the euro or back to their old money?
Done Turkey twice, Greek islands three times, Spain twice, Egypt, now Tunisia...its getting harder every year to find somewhere new, but close enough to be sensible money.
It's our fifth wedding anniversary next year, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia are favourites, much research is under way.
My parents in law did Split before the Balkans blew up in everyones faces, they thought it was brilliant.GBB - Croatia might be worth a punt.
Made friends in Tunisia who've done Goa and used to work with a girl who'd been there too, always heard good things about it.If you want any pointers...!
In the process of booking a 3-month trip to Goa - November to January. Lovely.
Swindon's nice this time of year.

Me ?, call it odd, peculiar, bigoted, stupid, whatever, but ive no intention of visiting a country that showed such bestial treatment of their neighbours or fellow countrymen just a couple of decades ago. Bestial is the only way i can think of describing it. For that reason, the balkans as a whole are off the list, but thanks for the suggestion
I'm sure its a lovely area, with many nice people....but not for me.
On a nicer note (sorry to drag it down)..the Cape Verde islands may get another look this year. Did quite a bit of research last year, looks really nice, a little expensive perhaps, but worth a lookee.
I had five weeks there last winter and it far exceeded its expectations. Won't just be beaching it, though: hope to see the 2nd Test Match in Bombay between India and England.
