I was about to buy a cheap one (£200ish).
Then I notice a comment where they say the don't recommend it to be used on a carpet but rather, on a hard floor. No reason given
Problem
Where I will be using it ie lounge is fully carpeted..
Any thoughts ??

It depends on what the problem with carpet is. Get a board to stand it on?

Yeah, rubber mat is the way to go if you don't have a hard surface to put a treadmill on. I don't think I've seen a carpeted gym before!

What speed will you be using it for ? You don't want your treadmill to be straining all of the time.
Treadmills are more complicated than you think. A bit like bikes.

Walking, probably at the slowest speed. Long Covid attacked my muscles and I struggle to even walk now......I am hoping that 10-15 minutes each morning will help.
