Crossed the Clyde on my way to work today it was frozen so he should be OKHe'd better not try walking on water then.
I have to say i'm torn, I do think it is nice piece of art, but £25k would have bought a lot of mealss it a good way to highlight the problems of homelessness, or a waste of £25,000 to get it ?
Again I like the idea, but I can't see them lasting very long, yoffs & drunks would kick the crap out of them, the shelter not the shelterer, I would also suspect the local residents would complain that all they will do is attract the homeless'It would have been nice if the seat was a shelter so someone could get a dry kip under the big man
Yes, 10 years ago when I started here in Sheffield there was 2 guys I would see daily, now there is a whole gang, must be 20+, never go down wind if they are together.Glasgow has a really bad issue with homelessness right now ( As i'm sure many towns do) so anything that raises awareness is a good thing
I would imagine the statue will prick the consciences of many and lead to donations over time that far outweigh that £25k.

I'm not a religious person but since I was in the city centre today I had a look.
Have to say I liked it.
