The trick is to dive in them after peeing, and then it all gets washed out.

If your friends are peeing in their wetsuits and it's not getting rinsed out, I'm not sure if I want to know what they're using the wetsuits for. Perhaps a different form of 'water sports' than I'm used to...

Apparently the smell never just rinses out, especially in hotter climates. Someone from that same bunch of divers then went on to invent Sink the Stink. http://www.sinkthestink.com/

He is some sort of biological engineer and mixed up some enzimes or germs or something that likes to feast on stinky wetsuits and gobble up the smell. That was 20 years ago and his product is still going strong.

I've never had a problem... That said, I've always rinsed my wetsuits after use.

Also, a lot of the smell doesn't come from people peeing in their suits but from the various microorganisms that get trapped when diving - particularly if you dive in plankton rich areas.
I think I will stick with my drysuit ta.

Ooo what about cleaning your teeth with warm water, that's so wrong.

I have been known to brush my teeth in the shower...
