Hot !

If you burn, put some cream/oil on exposed () parts.

Drink plenty of water before, during and after. Don't exert yourself more than is comfortable.

The hottest I've cycled in was 109F (43C) in South Australia. I was holed up for a week at 102F (43C) waiting for the temp. to drop but it didn't, so I just had to top up with water and ride 300 km as quickly/comfortably as possible to Adelaide.

Beer helps.

Cycling in hot weather is fine if you drink enough and don't go too fast. You can then find a pace where the wind keeps you cool.

Agree, trundling along on a hot day is nice so long as you have plenty to drink.

It's no fun at all around here. 20 minute uphills where I'm doing 8mph means I just melt. Definitely no cycling Tuesday

You've just described my approach to life, Dayvo.

When I was on my Sydney-Adelaide tour, I spent the first 5-6 nights staying in pubs after the day's ride.

I'd look at the room with the manager (pointless exercise, really), have a beer or more straight away, shower, change, eat dinner and drink beer watching sport on the pub TV, go to bed, have a good night's sleep, a good breakfast and off for a repeat performance. And only between AUS$ 10-15 a night (excluding dinner and beer). Sorted!

Below 30 is not hot - I have cycled in the south of France and Spain when it was often over 35 and sometimes 40 - I used to work in the middle east and 45 sometimes 50 locally (near flare stacks) was not uncommon - I tell myself it is all in the mind  - and then dive into a supermarket to dip my hands into the freezer cabinets ^_^

Drink lots - up the salt content a little - most processed foods have enough - and if you are beginning to feel too hot - find somewhere to get out of the sun - as above supermarkets are good

To answer the OP's question, it'll be too hot but i'd still go out. It'd be a novelty for us here to ride in such heat. I did it once or twice about 5 years ago when it hit 90F. My knees felt like they were swelling up and i was peeing sweat (sweaty legs that's a novelty!) but boy was it enjoyable compared to the usual freezing peeing down crap we have to put up with!
I'd like to go for a ride in this supposed 87F we're expecting tomorrow but i'll be saving my legs for Wednesday's club ride. Having said that, i bet i get some miles in if only a few, just to experience some hot weather cycling.

My next chance of a ride will be Wednesday afternoon/evening if I am medically capable after a hospital appointment. If not then, Thursday is on the cards for a few miles.
Yep.. I love the sunshine and take advantage of it once I've lubed myself up..
