Bugger off! My only KOM is on a downhill segment!

I have just lost my last KOM , I had held it for a year though and helped by drafting a tractor for over a mile http://www.strava.com/segments/2176916

Strava is as accurate as the GPS device. Strava connects the dots between the GPS data points then smooths it out abit.

Distance is usually ok whatever the device as is speed over a long distance.

Elevation gain is all over the place. I did a 60mile ride with my bother my elevation (iPhone) was massively higher than what my bro got on his HTC.

I've since upgraded to a Garmin Edge 200 for better battery life. Think the GPS may be more accurate.

It's the calorie calculations that make me chuckle. Garmin Connect reckons my 11.82mile ride yesterday used 745 calories downloaded the .gpx file & uploaded it to Strava which reckons 290 calories! I always go with the lowest figure.
