it is proper shoot. everyone knows you do not want to weight down the wheel that does the steering, especailly those that have cycled with front pannier.

I like the idea of it not being bigger than a normal bike to transport an extra bod on ... but mine are all too big now...

What's the point of it though? Why not just stick a child's seat on the front of the bike and not bother with the palaver of pedalling?

I never tried it when my kids were young but I would have thought cycling in traffic was dangerous enough without having the unbalancing weight of a child not to mention the fear of catastrophe I would have felt.
However I know some people happily do it so it may be me being a scaredy cat.

So the kid gets the gears? and how can the woman see clearly? and indicating? damn with all that weight at the front i wouldn't be to comfortable taking a hand off

How would you get a kid up there in the first place?
Her legs are far too short to have been able to hop up there safely with the pedals and chain in the way and Mum needs to hold the bike upright.
