I have the ordinary (non-subsription) Google Earth link.
I have found a particular place/picture/snapshot (whatever you call it) that I want to email to someone.
At the top there is an envelope (email link). When I click on that it gives me 2 supposed options which are.........
1) Use your preferred email address...........that is not "highlighted" and it will not open.
2) Use your Google account**.
My email address is Hotmail.
My wife has gmail.com address but when I insert that it tells me it is incorrect......SO...............

**Is gmail.com the same as a "google account" ?
If not is there another way to email it ?

Is there an option is copy link?

It's working fine for me, sending screenshots or place markers, regardless of whether or not saved in 'my places'.

Maybe something to do with your PC settings for default e-mail account?

The other option I guess is to print screen / capture screen , save it and send it in your e mail?

Seems a very clunky way though

I have found I can copy and past it to my desk top..........then attach it to an email.
BUT.........I thought I could send a link so that the recipient could then expand and view Google Earth as normal.

Can't you just copy what's in the address bar and paste it into an email?
