How can I waterproof my lights?

...my rear light has been shorting out because the rain the other day got inside the casing. It has taken two days for it to dry out and get back to normal. Is there some simple trick I can use to waterproof the lights without hindering access to batteries etc. I could cling wrap them I suppose like I do my computer but it just looks so bloody aweful...not that anyone can see it at night , but it means I have to keep taking the lights off in the day time.

... mi luz posterior ha estado poniendo en cortocircuito hacia fuera porque la lluvia que el otro día consiguió dentro de la cubierta. Ha tomado dos días para que deseque y consiga de nuevo a normal. Hay un cierto truco simple que puedo utilizar para impermeabilizar las luces sin el acceso de molestia a las baterías etc. Podría aferrarme las envuelvo que supongo como hago mi computadora pero aweful tan sangriento justo de las miradas... no ese cualquier persona puede verlo en la noche, pero significa que tengo que mantener el tomar de las luces apagado el tiempo del día

Did you not ride a bike as a kid... and most likely employ a lot of the same techniques as you did then, as you might now?

I think 50% of the stuff that's marketed at cyclists is a waste of time, and i know, because I've got shimano shoe boxes full of it
