How can this bike work ?

Hi,

Surely the drive belt is going the wrong side of the seatstay ?

Maybe the "chain wheel" is in the middle, but then the drive belt would surely hit the seat tube.

Am I missing something ? It just looks weird.

That's what the bolts on the seatstay are for. Undo them, spring the two halves apart a bit and slip the belt through.

Looks fine to me. If the belt were on the other side of the stay the sprocket would have to be aswell.

Nope - take a look at your own bike.

It looks the same set up as for a chain drive. A good shout from bikepete, i had never considered how you would remove/fit a continuous belt on a bike.

I think Van Nick has just been confused by it all looking a bit different and is forgetting that a 'normal' chain would also be inside the chain/seat stays....
