Cyclists Undermine National... Now, what letter do I want next....

Mini-rdbt: They often seem to confuse people, seen quite a few close shaves at them. Nicely avoided though, good senses.

It was a mini rounderbout then?

I don't particularly like mini-rounderbouts.There used to be on where Martins Mart was leading up to Maryland but I noticed when I took a detour to work the other day that it was gone.

Question:

It's not clear from the video - were you turning right across a lane for oncoming traffic on the same road, or was it at a junction where the Merc would have joined your carriageway (Stop or 'give way' road sign for him?) and he was on the minor road?

I was turning right. In addition to the lights I wear one of those white reflective snap bands for right hand turns, it is stupidly reflective and I've had a motorist comment on how bright it was. I also have a ID bracelet on which has M3 reflective stitching and a reflective logo on my sleeve. To miss me signaling would take someone "special"

I think some drivers look no further than their bonnets.

I'm just getting over being the victim of a suspected hit and run .
I have no memory of the "accident" - but the injuries - fractured cheek, broken ribs, bruising to calf and back of thigh and the fact that the last led on my reflective and flashing ankle strap was sheared off suggest I was hit from behind by an overtaking van or similar.

I use 4 rear lights 3 flashing -one solid, on head, seatpost, rear of rack and either ankle or just above elbow. Also a hi viz tabard with scotchlite and the usual reflective bits on shoes.

Now how one can not see that is beyond me. But your video shows that some people should have braille controls in their cars.
