Specially at the moment when it gets below 0 and is super windy, the wind just sucks the life out of me and I get ill almost everytime I have to ride or even walk in it, lately I just drive a car if I see the wind is crazy- sucks so bad

I wear wool socks, all merino baselayer (pants/shirt) + Cashmere jumper+ down windbreaker + Merino Buff as a balaclava +wool hat , I'm mostly wind-proof till the neck are, however the damn wind still blows in my face and completely f.cks me up, I saw someone today was wearing a large builder googles (almost like a ski-mask) ,looked weird but maybe it helped him? I don't have any cycling glasses myself.

What do you do? What's the secret?

Do you have to cycle in the weather you describe.

I sometimes wear builder's goggles to give my eyes a break from the wind but it's not been cold+wet enough here to make my eyes really stream this year. The other thing I definitely do different to you is to wear a real balaclava (thinsulate IIRC) rather than one fashioned from a buff in the deepest winter. A buff is enough most of the year but not this month.

And to answer @screenman and all the other fair weather cyclists who will inevitably come: no, you don't have to cycle but it's better than driving in this weather if cycling is an option.

Today I wore from the ground up-
Neoprene overshoes
Shoes
Bridgedale socks
Winterweight bib longs
Compression top
Jersey
Castelli Gabba
Rain cape
Thick ski gloves
Buff
Plastic hat.

Warm as toast.

Ended up walking down hills and round dark corners this morning.no sign of gritting despite clear met office warnings.

I use a wool hat under the helmet and two buffs usually move buff down below my mouth once warmed up a bit.

No fairweather cyclist here so not even sure why you mentioned me like that, apart from trying to have cheap dig as usual.

The reason I asked is that the OP says it makes them nearly ill, not a good thing or clever for that matter.

There was no dig. Note that I wrote "@screenman and"

I mentioned you because it was answering your question about why someone might prefer to cycle, although it is a bit sad that it's even asked on here.

I think it's the wind making the OP ill, rather than the cycling.

Why is cycling in cold winds better than driving in cold winds?
The OP doesn't mention snow and ice, only cold and cold winds

I'd certainly be wearing glasses in cold windy weather, not least to protect your eyes and stop them streaming which will impair your inability to see. I'd say glasses or goggles that provide proper protection are as important as any other piece of equipment you mention using! Don't mess with your eyes

Dunno, but Maybe barely anyone even knows what are Winter tyres in this country so they aren't able to drive anywhere?
I just love cycling, that's it. I got a 4x4 car with winter tyres so I can get anywhere I want , but still prefer cycling If I can...
Cycling is my daily fix of exercise, thinking, enjoyment and relaxation time , In a car you can't have any of that

I'm ok with the cold itself, if you got proper clothes- cold is nothing... But the wind is the killer
