Bloody fantastic is the short answer.
Yes, today I felt bloody fantastic while cycling!
I had to go 3 places opposite to each other, around a 5 mile radius from home but all 3 in a complete opposite direction.
Would have taken me half a day using public transport.
I quickly devised a circular route, done what I had to do, was back home 2 hours later.
I dare say, not even in a car, as there were roadworks, no parking at one venue, no access to cars at another, due to a big workie truck obstructing the road.
Cycling is bloody brilliant!
For Glasgow peeps, I love the segregated route from town to Vicky road, need to be careful of straying pedestrians and of deliveroos, but all in all very handy.
The newly 2 way completed bit from queens park to the hospital is already inaccessible due to wet slimy leaves, I used the road.

Itching to get back on my bike's

I restarted cycling around 20 years ago as a means of commuting to and from work just under 2 miles away, i found it helped me de-stress and relax after a day at work.

After a while I ventured out onto the open road and started to ride for pleasure and exercise as well mostly early morning with rides of up to 60 miles due to time constraints and family commitments.

How do I feel when I cycle well the answer has to be relaxed and it allows me to think about things that are going on in my life without the hassle of having a phone ringing.

I do most of my miles commuting - it's a free way of keeping fit for the weekend riding. Even bad weather isn't bad as I have all the right clothing, and the bike is set up for it. Even if I don't feel like it, the morning route is very pleasant, next to no traffic, and even if I take it easy, it's just a couple of minutes slower than a fast ride. I've not been sat in a very comfy easy to drive car for an hour plus. The bike takes 2/3rds of the time (OK a bit longer with getting changed) but if I drive, I am up at the same time.

It's far less stressful riding in, and it's a very good way of waking you up for the day.

If I'm tired on the way home, I just ease off. No-one wants to then think about exercising again at 7pm on a horrible dark winter evening.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I tried commuting for a while and I was really looking forward to arriving at work de stressed and ready to go. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Quite the opposite in fact. My commute was about 10km into central London and it put me in a really bad mood

Takes all sorts I suppose.

I used to cycle into work at my last job befor retiring

when I could anyway

if it was at all wet then the road I spent about 2 minutes on would splatter me with mud and I couldn;t easily change when I got to the school

but when I could it was much more relaxing and much easier to park and stuff as I just used the same bike compound as the kids

driving was a right pain - only 10 minutes but 2 sets of lights and a roundabout

which all made cycling as fast or faster as well!
