We've got loads of tomato's now ... so Tomato soup, curry and tonight a sort of pie with tomato's on the bottom and a scone dough on the top...

Squashes have mostly produced lots of leaf, quite a few male flowers and about 3 actual squashes - and they weren't even that tasty.

I've had loads of courgettes & summer squashes this year. On the other hand, my tomato plants have been abyssmal at producing fruit.

Mine's been ok this year - tomatoes, courgettes, lettuce, spinach, sage, fennel, parsley, basil, thyme, and a LOAD of apples from the tree.
On the downside, I think my Acer has died....... the tree, not the laptop.

We've had an interesting year growing this year. So far we've had masses of spinach and spring greens, strawberries, spring onions, the garlic has been amazing, as have the onions. Our freezer is full of green beans, mangetout, we're munching our way through the carrots and looking forward to parsnips. But the courgettes have gone absolutely crazy this year. We don't know what else to do with them. We've eaten every single recipe possible, frozen a load, made chutney, made marrow and ginger compote from the ones that got too big, and they keep on growing! The next thing to deal with will be the grapes when they ripen - I usually make grape jelly from them.

Second crop of potatoes doing well. Planted them at the end of July and they are now coming into flower, so hope to start harvesting them after another 3-4 weeks or so. Just hope I don't get a late blight outbreak.

Had problems trying to grow carrots. Only got enough for two meals. I'll try growing them in deep pots next year.

Our garden has been extraordinary this year, especially the lettuce, garlic, beets, courgettes, bok choi, mizuna, summer squash... and now runner beans, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, and we have onions, sweetcorn, melons and butternut squash to come. Plus all the herbs. Plus we have put in about 25 native fruit and nut trees, and loads of woodland plants. It is just beautiful here.

Wow! envious here! My favorite produce are the strawberries and had a good harvest of potatoes too.

Not a bad year this year. We had a fabulous strawberry crop back in June, much of which still resides in my cupboard in the form of jam. It also makes fabulous ice cream. We also have loganberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants and apples. I'm freezing batches of french and green beans, and roasting tomatoes then blending them with garlic, onion and basil to make up jars of pasta sauce.

On the downside, the broccoli has been destroyed by caterpillars, and I was out of the country earlier in the year, so no potatoes or onions.
