Whyte is the type of bike which has done 1474 miles rest of the miles on other bikes
Nope I don’t have the Whyte now (that was the Cambridge, I don’t have the Portobello now either). Just there as a record. Rode the genesis today which has done 3539 miles

Rather coincidentally, at Cyclesurgery, we bumped into the friend who built the Eq for me. Think he was rather pleased to see her

My lowest mileage for 3 years  a few weeks off in summer with illness didn't help, & had a cough/cold for all of December too, unlike 2015 when I rode every day & was very lucky health wise, 5003 miles, 291 hours, 99.990 feet climbed in 200 rides. If I didn't have to go to work this aft I'd do a little ride to hit 100,000 ft climbing .
Happy new year everyone & safe riding in 2018 :okay:

Here's hoping for a better 2018 for you and hope you'll be joining us on the ICaM again this year.

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Not a target as such, but I expected to do about 3500 miles this year, as per the previous 5 years or so.
I'm not sure what my current mileage is, and won't know until I check the final miles on each of 4 bikes on hogmanay.
I don't record all my rides on Strava, which is sitting at 2700 miles. I can probably add a few hundred onto that, so about 3k miles for this year. Not helped by the wettest, windiest, most miserable summer in living memory; and that's official! Wettest since 1938, apparently.

Hmmmmm..... Finished at 3663 miles which is actually well over what I was expecting for this year. Just shows that all the short commutes (between 1 and 1.3 miles each way depending on route taken) and other short rides when I can't be bothered using a Garmin all add up!

I was aiming for 4000 miles, about 500 more than I normally do.
Almost reached my target if I had not chickened out on a very icy spell and took the train to work instead.
Because I am mainly a commuting rider, that means that I hardly had time off this year!

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Only 1320 this year, so well down from 3000 target - due to circumstances beyond my control. Ticker and good intentions now re-set for 2018 :okay:

Was hoping for 4,500 miles but only hit 4,300....combination of workload and decidedly dodgy December weather

On positive side, that was 405,000ft of climbing and was an average of 14.0mph thanks to a spell in Spring/Summer when I got a bit of weight off and was probably as fit as I've been for ages. However, back where I started now so....we go again
