But anything made from flour, sugar, butter eggs etc that looks that good, is an excellent cake.

That is the beauty of such a cake. It's hard to make and so ephemeral.

Of course don't cut it until you have done a street parade with it, and Facebooked, tweeted, 'grammed and pinterested it, but it's going to get spoiled either way, so cut it and enjoy ... And if that's not tonight, but it well out of the way of any pets or sleep walkers who might fancy a taste overnight.
