I have a hollowtech 2 bottom bracket that is grumbly, rather than strip and regrease it i decide to replace, after all I don't know how long its been in there.
Looking on high on bikes website last night I see they have both the bottom bracket and the tool that I need to remove it, check the opening hours, brill they are open Saturday morning, so off I set , 40 min drive to burscough ………...FECK THEY ARE SHUT.

return home and realise I hadn't checked winsanley bikes website , after all its only 1.5 miles from my front door, great they have what I need and they are open till 5pm , drive to winstanleys , great , at least they have the opening times right , …..hi I would like these two items please, checks computer great they have both items in, only they don't , computer says they do but they don't.....FECK......again.

sat in the car park checked halfrauds on my phone , they don't have the bottom bracket but have the tool ….yeah you've guessed it , FECK ...again when I get there , they don't have it..

FECKIN BLOODY ECK...…..HOW HARD CAN IT BE.....

No BB's, blimey. I bought the hollowtech/GXP tool from Decathlon, before I needed it.

You'll just have to re-grease for now !

Am I right in thinking that the ultegra hollowtech 2 bottom bracket will fit as a direct replacement for the 105 that's currently in ?? evans at Trafford centre are open tomorrow and have what I think I need

Certainly hope so. My 105 crankset (5700 series) came with an Ultegra 6800 BB. Fitting them tomorrow (I think I've got the tool)

Yes, they are the same. PS don't go to the Trafford Centre - it's next to the Chill Factore

Forget computers, phone before travelling and get them to leave it to one side, for collection.
