Currently I have 3 bikes, but am planning to aquire more.

Raleigh Firefly - 26" hardtail no-sus MTB converted to a tourer. Now used for wet/winter commuting.
Dawes Karakum - 700c tourer, only used now for touring or family rides.
Ridgeback Tour 2013 - Light touring, summer/dry commuting, light weekend touring and being prepped for Audaxing

So that leaves space for a race bike for 'training', a singlespeed for the pure unadulterated fun of it, a reasonable MTB for autumn/winter/spring jollies in Dalby forest, and finally a one-off, bespoke, steel, brazed lugs, handmade and measured bike for absolute best.

Also have 3 bikes and am looking to aquire 1 more

Kona Honky Inc Disc Braked Road Bike 2012 105/Ultegra, Steel. This is my commute bike. Hard as nails and pretty much bombproof. A little heavy but a nice and smooth ride. Takes a little effort to get up to speed, but once it does it just cruises along.

Specialized Roubaix Elite 2009, Ultegra, Carbon. This was my first 'proper' road bike after getting back into cycling after a long lay off. Lovely, beautiful, creamy smooth riding machine, corners likes it's on rails. Just like a favourite armchair, I can sit on this and ride all day long. Have been on many long rides and adventures over the years.

Van Nicholas Ventus 2013, Ultegra, Titanium. Bought this last year as wanted a Ti bike. And I wasn't disappointed. It really is a lovely ride. Hard to explain the difference in ride to the Roubaix but it is different. Quick in acceleration, buttery smooth but stiff where it matters. It's my main leisure bike at the moment.

I am planning on getting a Carrera Subway as a hack bike, for towing jnr's trailer, to the shops, park etc. Why a Subway? I had one before and they are brilliant well made bikes. Gave it away and wish I hadn't.

Do more.
I have one bike. A road bike.

I am collecting bike number 2, a Mountain Bike (hard tail), this morning, after a six week wait, it has finally arrived.

Depending on what takes my fancy next, and also depending on how I get on with the MTB, the next addition is likely to be either a fixie or a full suspension MTB

I have shown commendable discipline this year, having gained two, but also relinquished two. So, still at five - one of which is still frame-only, as I collect the necessary bits off ebay. Only need some Sti shifters and a saddle now & I'm away.

I'm up to three - apollo metis (doesn't really count I know) now only used to accompany children on slow pootles to the park requiring massive amounts of "stuff" to be carried in the basket.
Specialized vita - used for commutes and shopping
Cube Analogue 29er - fun fun fun!
I'm thinking I will replace the vita before the end of the year for a Giant escape though.
I still really want a cruiser too, but have no more room.
The full "stable" includes mr6's two bikes and four children's bikes, I would like my front room back.

World class procrastinator
Giant Defy 2 for going out and having fun on the roads
Specialized Hardrock for going out and having fun on trails and in winter when the roads are covered in mud and cow poo.

Saving for a Boardman Team Carbon now.

I have 4 currently.

The Dawes Horizon (that you saw a few days ago) which is currently in Audax mode but I'm yearning to put the big racks and tyres back on and make it a tourer again

A late 1980s Raleigh Criterium road bike. R501 tubing so not the lightest but a nice ride and has lovely chrome forks

A Trek 4th District Singlespeed/fixed which is for commuting but has done a 160km audax

My final bike is in bits, it's a Claud Butler 'Classic' Hybrid frame, which will get built up again in some formation to carry snow tyres this winter.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
I have three complete bikes at the moment, the fixie which is hung up, the inbred MTB which is getting battered now I have an off- road commute, and the Kaffenback which is about to be stripped for parts for the new Orrell Mudshark and the frame sold. I also have a '63 viking path racer in bits in the study and two kona frames under my desk here at work.

And an old rocky mountain MTB frame in the shed.

And another full Kona which belongs to the missus.

And a BMX.

And a Zaskar frame in my mates garage.

:shy:

Sorry, six, not five: Two fixies - Olmo & Dawes; three racers - Vitus, Principia and now a Fausto Coppi that I'm building up; and one Koga Miyata hybrid. That's it. Carry on.
