How late on in the year can you ride the High Alpine cols?

I'm going to be in France in mid-September and was wondering whether the high passes (>2000 m), such as the Galibier, Izoard, Agnel, Bonette, will still be rideable?

You will have no problem. Even if there is a dusting of snow it will melt I would think.
